A fine Korean dining experience
This was the first time I had Korean in quite a while. I was not disappointed with Bann. The atmosphere was trendy, the location is great right center in midtown, and the food was fresh. My friend and I ordered the barbeque platter and the bo bim bap with chicken/egg. Each of the tables are equipped with a portable grill in the center of the table and you grill your meat and fish yourselves! Plus they give you all the ethnic mixins on the side with lettuce slices-miso, kimchee etc. This made it different. How often do you have adining opportunity like this. The best part was that they were there to help you and explain everything to you which was nice. Overall, eating at bann was a pleasure experience. They had some unique dessert dishes as well. If you looking for a dining spot out of the norm- willing to pay maybe 40 bucks min a person- then bann is your place!

THE best Korean in New York
I just moved from LA and am really familiar with good korean food and was so suprised to find the best korean restaurant ever (seriously not exaggerating). Firstly its a place u won't b embarassed to take your friends, service is so friendly and the food is just delicious/perfect. It's not as expensive as people think. I believe people just get intimidated by the fancy decor & stuff. We went with a group and it came out to about $40 pp. I'm craving their food just writing this review... Will definitley be a regular at this place :)

great experience
One of my friend recommends this place as a dating spot. I actually heard about this place. But since they are in hell's kitchen(I don't usually go there) I didnt have a chance to go there. Anyway I and my girlfriend decided to go there and Bann is actually a way better than I expected. Atmosphere and service were great. Food is not really authentic Korean though. Also they are located in hell's kitchen where not many people are hanging out. Overall it was worth to try and I will go back to Bann again.

worst bibimbap i have ever had
i am a bit surprised to see this many positive reviews here about this non-authentic korean restaurant. I LOVE korean food and up until I experienced this place I believed that bibimbap can never taste bad....well, I was wrong. We also had a kimchi sushi roll, which was even worse and we could not finish. The staff were friendly and helpful and the atomosphere was great though.

take out vs. dining in
dining there is great because the service is attentive and well. But when ordering out, they ALWAYS forget to put in one thing or the other. So make sure to check everything before you walk out of there. One time, I had to rush through lunch to prepare for an important meeting so I ordered for take and when I got back to the office, i noticed that they forgot to put Gochoojang sauce in my Bibimbop. So i went back (wasting another 20min.) then I came back to realize that they didnt put any utencils in. And after that incidence, I check my order and always find something missing. lol Otherwise, their food is good. Little bit on the sweeter side but I have sweet tooth so it's good for me. And everthing's bit over-priced but considering that it saves me a trip to 32st K-town, it's not so bad

Great Food and Friendly Service
I just went there over the weekend and was thoroughly impressed. They had great presentation. I ordered and eel dish and it was served over HOT stones. I ordered teas for dessert and their presentation was AMAZING! The teas were displayed in an illuminated tea display and everyone of them were just delicious. I went with their Winter Wishes blend and fell in love... They carry Tavalon Teas (the guys that had a tea bar on 14th street with the DJ's). I'll be back to try the BBQ next time.
