Simply Awesome is the word!!
This is the BEST Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. The food & service is simply GREAT. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. I have been there soooo many times. I never get tired of great food & service at Chin Chin. Thanks to my great friend Roberta for recommending this restaurant to me.

You have got to try the Grand Marnier Shrimp
I went here on a recommendation by a close friend. To cut to the chase, this restaurant is top notch. If you like shrimp you will die for the Grand Marnier Shrimp. Have it as an appetizer and the move on to the sweet and sour pork. If you like something a little on the spicy side try the Mongolian beef. It is top notch. This is a must visit Chinese restaurant. I am going back again with some business associates for lunch this week. This is just 3 days after my dinner there. Oh yes, it is that good!

SOOOO GOOD!
Ok - the two things you can't miss are the cold sesame noodles and the crispy orange beef - they are AMAZING. I skip the prix fixe because the soups they include are all cornstarch and not so good. But overall the food is great and the servers are so nice!

Overrated
Ok, so I am writing this 15 mintues after going. Big disappointment. The prix fixe for the price is no good. Wayy too much sauce on each dish and there was enough oil to coat a lane in a bowling alley. I've seriously had better chinese in Queens. Atmosphere and service was very good though, they were attentive (almost too attentive, they would look over your shoulder to see if you were done, seriously, on their tip toes) but the decor was nice, subtle music and cool temp, ladies bring a jacket. Best part of the meal was the ice cream. Cherry Pistachio, very good, very creamy.

First rate Midtown Chinese
When you believe that the only great Chinese food in town is in Chinatown and the bill for such should never be more than $25 per head how can one consider Chin Chin to be a great destination? Well, Virginia, it is! Jimmy Chin is a great host and the waitstaff is first rate. While the atmosphere is hardly Mott Street depressed, the slick looking room, replete with soft lighting and old Chinese photographs is relaxing and dignified. The food is truly first rate. All appetizers are wonderful with the various dumplings and the expensive lobster roll my favorites. The Grand Marnier Shrimp and Orange Beef is the best in town. Lamb with spring vegetables and chicken with leeks and candied walnuts are first rate. You can't miss with a dinner, and especially a client lunch. BEWARE - NOT CHEAP! P.S. Be careful not to ask Derek Jeter for an autograph! Enjoy. Amities Gourmandes, ally's dad

eclectic chinese
I've been to this place twice in the past year, and each time it had a very interesting crowd. You have your typical Upper East Side ladies at one table and then guys who look like they could be the next 50 Cent at another. It kind of throws you off. The food is very tasty though, and not your typical Chinese menu. They have filet mignon and duck a l'orange but also shark's fin soup and peking duck. Definitely one of the better Chinese places I've been to, if you're willing to pay non-Chinese prices.
