Why is this place not open 24 hours?
It's a diner that serves diner food. It's not stellar but it's reliable. We mostly go here because it is convenient but it would be even MORE convenient after 10PM when we're starving and the only thing open are bars.......

point your appetite to Greenpoint
just got back from dinner at Christinas. Very good food, nice service, 4 of us ate alot of food including 4 beers and the check including tax and tip was $75. Easy to park the car, definitely will go back and also try some of the other Polish restaurants in the area. Where i live on the upper Westside this meal would have been twice the price. Go and enjoy some homestyle cooking. Just make sure you bring cash, no credit cards.

Who stole the Kishka?
Not Christina. Her place makes all its own food and serves the best Polish/American dishes this side of Warsaw. Huge portions. Great value.

Amazing Polish food!
It's one of the best restaurants in the whole city! The food is authentic and delicious, with huge portions, served by lovely young Polish ladies. The owner makes sure the quality of food and service is constant and has come out to greet us personally on numerous occasions. Always make sure you finish the meal with the cheesecake which the owner bakes herself every morning, it's just out of this world. The soups are great, and the Polish platter is the best intro to Polish food you can ask for.

Keep Walking
The service is friendly but slow. The food is good ,but the size of the portions are too small for the price. The homemade soups have become more water than soup over the past 2 years.Polish dishes are better anywhere else in the neighborhood. My advice is to keep walking, its not worth the stop anymore.

Better than the best
Call ahead and find out when they'll be serving the white borscht. It's amazing. As is everything else! Try a Polish Platter if it's your first visit - or even if it isn't! Sometimes when Jet Blue has cheap airfare I visit NYC just to eat at Christina's. It's that good.

Very pleasant dining experience
We've eaten here many times. The food is authentic Polish and the prices are very reasonable. The vegetable soup is outstanding (homemade) and the pirogis and blintizes are excellent. Beer is $2.25. Cheescake is great. Waitresses are very friendly and dressed in cute outfits. Service is best if you eat at the small counter. Only one very slight complaint...the mashed potatos are never quite hot hot enough for my taste.
