    Delish

My husband & I had dinner at L'Ecole two weeks ago. I placed the reservation online, indicating that we'd be celebrating his birthday. We were served escargot (with bacon, gruyere, red wine sauce) as compliments of the chef...absolutely delish. He had the salmon appetizer (though he wasn't too thrilled with it). I had the soup which was pretty good. Main courses: sea scallops which were very well prepared and flavorful; fish was also. The highlight was when the busboy brought my husband's dessert with a candle and a piece of dark chocolate "happy birthday". Memorable evening.

    The other reviews are outdated!

You can clearly see that this restaurant has not been reviewed in well over a year and about time to fix what the others are saying. I went here with my family and little nephew (that made us 6 in all). At first I thought reserving online was going to mean that 1) the attention given to us will be superficial and 2) that our stay will be shortened (the staff will kick us out since it will get too crowded) but on au contraire, only the exact opposite happened. They were even super-friendly with our little 10 month old and offered to wash whatever he dropped onto the floor for us. It was not that hard to get their attention whenever we needed something and they appeared to be attentive to their customers. Although some dishes were bland (like the cauliflower soup), there were some that were really good (like the rack of lamb and the creme brulee). Being a real fan of spice, I wish that there could have been a little more of it along with a bit more flavor in some of their dishes, it was overall a solid meal and good time for all.

    great value!

The quality of the food was astounding, and the price excellent for five courses. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere both stately and relaxed. Absolutely wonderful.

    Delightful Experience

We have been going to L'Ecole for years, and have invariably been charmed by both the food and the attentive service. Their recent changes to the menu are an enhancement of what has always been a pleasant experience. From amuse bouche to dessert, each dish is imaginative and delicious. The server answers your questions knowledgeably, or goes to the kitchen and finds out. The wines are particularly good. We always leave satisfied and soothed by a lovely meal in a pleasant atmosphere with attentive service--and at such a bargain price!

    Like it so much

I have eaten there a few times over the last 6 months. The food is terrific and the price more than correct. Service is also perfect.

    Couldn't have been more helpful

We booked for a party of 14 last Tues, and had a great experience. Although the reservation was an hour late, this is forgiveable due to the large party, and when we wanted to move tables (we were originally splite between 2 tables) the staff were helpful and didn't make you feel like they were b eing put out. The food was wonderful, if a little salty, and arrived quickly without being hurried. When the restaurant ran out of house wine, they were happy to supply us with the next cheapest wine at the house wine price, and to top it all they gave us 3 bottles for free due to the mix up and delay with the tables! A great value, fine dining experience - I would highly recommend it.

    Fantastic!

My friend and I dined at L'Ecole on a Tuesday night and we were smitten by the quality of food and service. Each dish was carefully crafted and brought in timely manner. Our server was very friendly and helpful in selecting the right wine for me and beer for my company. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I'll certainly be back again.
