Que Paso?
This place has great food but also used to be great bang for your buck. I guess their rent went up because they don't give you the feast they used to. It is just too pricey to make a regular option. Maybe at least now will stay awake in the afternoon!

What happened to Margon?!
I used to go to Margon every Wednesday for the pernil but haven't gone as much since they shrunk the size of the serving containers (but not the price) a while back. Today, I decided to give it another try. I will not be back there again after this. They now serve it in a dish about six inches across and make it a point to fill it with everything BUT pork -- now, it's like getting a dish filled with rice, beans, maduros, etc., with a little pernil sprinkled on top. And, of course, the price still went up. The pernil itself still tastes good, though it was a bit fatty (and in short supply). The woman serving me also seemed well aware of what was up and just smirked when I asked when the serving dishes had gotten so small. To sum up: a VERY disappointing experience from a place that used to be great, but obviously isn't anymore.

Slap yo mama
OMG!!! The food in this place is just OFF DA HOOK! I swear my mouth waters just wating for them to get our orders together. Everytime I have been to this restaurant it has been an office affair, everyone jumps on the band wagon if just mention Margon! The whole office is quiet while we are eating...noone says a word! It is the most hilarious thing in the world. Mad as hell if the phone rings. Just answer with an attitude! LOL!!!

Better than I expected
we placed 5 full orders... totalling $57 w/tip. We ordered extra early since it was raining, and reviews about their slow delivery. (We we ordered at 11:2o expecting around 12:30 or later, but it arrived at 12:04.) OMG Everything tasted delicious. The main complaint would be that they use platic air-tight containers instead of the aluminum plastic top that bend, as all the liquid stuff had spilled all over. And they forgot to add the pieces of maduros in 2 of the 5 meals. Overall rating is a 4.9 cause I really wanted those maduros!

Ok for FAST FOOD.
I hadn't been to this place in 10 years. Went back and it is the same it was 10 years ago. Good for FAST FOOD Dominican food. Yes Dominican. It's adverstised as Cuban but it's actually Dominican. The cook, the staff, the food, the music EVERYTHING is Dominican at this place. Overall I give it a 4.0 average.

Best Cuban Sandwich
I've eating other cuban sandwiches in many other places. By far, they have the best Cuban sandwich I have tasted in New York. Their other food tastes good too. I've eaten a steak there but it was a thin serving. The flan was great but again the serving was small. Happy with the taste, almost satisfied with the amount. Will always order Cuban sandwiches from here.

Too Good to be True
I have been eating at Margon for 3 years and NEVER found anything wrong the food. Yes its extremely busy there and the atmosphere is not a park avenue one BUTTT for under 10.00 in NYC and for the workers to be clean, and food amazing, Margon is surely too good to be true. MM
