AR Cucina is Culver City's newest Italian restaurant offering rustic dishes drawn from Akasha's nine-year cooking relationship with her first husband and his mother – both from a small village in Sardinia - and her extended travel throughout Italy's many regions. During her sojourns there, Akasha immersed herself in the farming, harvest and production of Italian epicurean products, learning everything she could about each area's cooking traditions. Fundamental to Akasha's philosophy, AR Cucina's offerings change with the seasons, highlighting the local California ingredients that play a primary role in her style, using domestic and imported artisan ingredients that are carefully and lovingly sourced. Many components of the dishes - mustard pickled produce and red onion jam - are created in-house.
