I have lived in the neighborhood 15 years and have pretty much gone to and ordered from Renaissance from the beginning. it has always stood out as having the best food and variety of the local diners (eg Westway, Galaxy) and was comparable in price if slightly more expensive. And the food is still better, which is why i still order from them against my better judgment. The service was never very good to begin with, but it has declined to a point where it is nonexistent. I have not placed one order out of the last FIVE that came to me without error. There is no difference whether you order online or on the phone (they are no longer on delivery.com, btw)- it comes back with something wrong. And if you call you can expect to be kept on hold or dropped before the order is even placed. The restaurant itstel is practically a ghost town during the day, but it doesn't seem to maeke the staff any more available than during a rush. Very sad.

I have been ordering here for years, at least 4 times a week.. today I ordered and everything was way more expensive and the quality was poor. I ordered from here just last week and a 5 dollar jump in pricing in one week in insane!Please understand that you have loyal customers that recomend you to people all the time! Never again will I order or recomend you...

We were in NYC for Thanksgiving and did not make any plans for dinner. Stayed on 40th near 9th Ave. and just started wallking. We just happened to find this place with a reasonable price. Upon walking in the place we were really not impressed until taken further back into the restaurant where there was much more room for the 5 of us. All I can say is wow! Everything we ate was completely delicious! From the salad, bread, turkey, stuffing, cranberry salad (I don't even like cranberry salad) to the wonderful dessert. All 5 of us were extremely pleased. I was kinda upset that I was not going to have a home cooked meal for Thanksgiving but this was even better! We had great service, exceptional food, and reasonable prices. What more could you ask for?

I used to order food from this place at least 2 times a week when the food was great, cheap and the service was exceptional. Over the last 2 years, all 3 have deteriorated: the food isn't as good, the prices went up and the service is non-existent. I will NEVER go back here after an unforgettable altercation with their servers tonight.

Every time i go there the staff gets more inattentive. I end up waiting for the wait staff or having to flag someone down just to order... the last time i went i felt like i had to force them to take my money, i could have just walked out and they wouldn't have noticed since they are too busy playing around with each other.

Not your average diner. The rigatoni pasta lovers meal and the cappucini shakes are a must-try.

Must admit that their food is really great which is why I continue to order from them; however their service is horrible. Several times they have put me on hold and forgot that I am there, and then when they pickup, they are rude. They also can't get deliveries right. This is the 2nd time they have messed up and delivered my food to another building (street # was my apartment #). They really need to work on their customer service, b/c otherwise they will lose customers. No food is that good when you have to deal with this sort of incompetence.
